Ollie Why can't I bend/raise my knee?

Raise Your Knees Earlier

Mechanism / Why It Happens

When we sense ourselves falling, our instinct is to extend our legs toward the ground.

The higher you try to ollie, the more strongly you focus on lifting your upper body, which often delays pulling your legs up. If you wait until after the peak of the ollie, your instinct to extend your legs toward the ground makes it much harder to tuck them in. Therefore, pull both knees up at the peak of your ollie.
