Keep Your Shoulders Closed

Opening your shoulders out of fear causes you to lose the grind position.
In a Frontside 5-0, not only can you no longer see the bottom of the ramp, but the back of your head—one of the body's most vulnerable areas—is exposed in that direction. It's therefore only natural that fear makes you open your shoulders and look toward the bottom. The problem is that although opening your shoulders may improve your view, the board rotates together with your shoulders, causing the trucks to come out of the grind position.

What to Do
It's instinctive to fear exposing the back of your head. Instead of fighting that instinct, make the movement easier by adding one simple action.
In theory, you simply need to keep your shoulders closed. In practice, however, continuously exposin
