Why does my board not spin all the way?

Lead with Your Shoulders

Mechanism / Why It Happens

Without enough shoulder rotation to lead the movement, the motion becomes disconnected and unnecessarily difficult.

If your board stops rotating halfway through, it might be because your shoulders stop rotating too soon. Rotating your shoulders initiates the movement, but if they stop partway through, you'll have to rotate the board beyond the angle of your shoulders to complete the full 180 degrees. In other words, separating the movement into two distinct actions—rotating your shoulders first and then rotating the board—makes the trick unnecessarily difficult.

What to Do

Rotate your shoulders far enough ahead of your lower body, and your lower body only needs to follow.

The solution is straightforward: increase the amount of shoulder rotation that leads the movement. G
