Popping the tail drives the board’s center of mass toward the toe side
The board's center of mass is located at the middle of the deck, as indicated by the yellow dot. When the toes of your back foot (shown by the red dot) push the tail diagonally backward and downward, it generates rotational force in the board. At the same time, the board’s center of mass is driven toward the toe side. In this way, it can be said that the board moving toward the toe side during a shove-it or pop shove-it is physically natural.
