I jump forward, but still can’t land on the board
Mechanism / Why It Happens
The force used to pop the tail combines with the force of pushing off the ground to jump forward, creating excessive force
As explained in another tip (Link), the board naturally moves toward the toe side. If you try to jump forward to land on it, the problem actually gets worse. To jump toward the toe side in the first place, you need to push your foot in the heel-side direction. This adds a stronger lateral force to the tail, causing the board to be driven even further toward the toe side. In other words, the more you try to jump toward where the board is going, the more the board shoots further away in that same direction.

What to Do
To avoid excessive lateral force on the tail and still get airtime, control the direction you pop the tail
As shown in the video, place your weight slightly toward the toe side and push the tail straight dow
