How to Stay Over the Board
Mechanism / Why It Happens
It is natural for the board to move toward the toe side when landing.
Kicking the tail toward the heel side shifts the board’s center of mass toward the toe side, so the board naturally moves in that direction. However, trying to jump in the same direction as the board can make the problem worse. When your body moves forward, it means you are kicking the ground backward, which results in kicking the tail even more toward the heel side, causing the board to fly even farther away.
