Why can't I Ollie while moving?

Body Angle Difference While Rolling

Mechanism / Why It Happens

While moving, your shoulders, body, and gaze naturally face more forward than when stationary

When you are stationary, the biggest fear is stepping off the board or spraining your ankle. As a result, your gaze naturally turns downward so you can keep both feet in view. However, once you start moving, you cannot keep looking only at your feet. There may be obstacles such as small rocks or cracks in the ground ahead, and for grind tricks, you need to understand your distance to the obstacle. Having to pay attention to external threats that you did not need to consider while stationary is what makes practicing while moving more difficult.
