Mechanism / Why It Happens
A shove-it where you push your front foot forward is a nollie backside shove-it.
With a nollie, the name is determined by the direction the board rotates. In a backside shove-it from your main stance, you swing your back foot backward, right? With a nollie, the trick where you push your front foot forward and rotate the board in the same direction as a backside shove-it in your main stance is called a nollie backside shove-it. It can be confusing because the movement is completely reversed depending on whether you push or pull with the foot that pops the board, but with a nollie, the name is determined solely by the direction of rotation.
