Where Should You Pop on the Tail?

Mechanism / Why It Happens
Your stance does not directly determine whether the board turns
Placing your back foot like in a pop shove-it may seem like it would make the board turn, but your front foot is the one that stays in contact with the board until the end. In other words, it’s not an exaggeration to say that your front foot determines the board’s direction. Rather than worrying about avoiding placing your back foot toward the toe side, it’s more important to find a stance where you can stay relaxed, crouch properly, and jump effectively.
