Your flick timing is too early
When you pop the tail, the board naturally rises and gains a steep angle. In a heelflip, you use your front foot to receive the upward force of the nose and apply force diagonally downward to flick the board. However, if you focus too much on flicking and start to flick your foot too early, your front foot leaves its position before the nose can push back against it. As a result, there is nothing left to stop the nose from rising, which can cause the board to hit your groin (credit card), or even if it flips, the excessive angle leads to a rocket flip.
