Your Body Axis Is Key to Landing on the Board
Mechanism / Why It Happens
If your body axis leans forward, your foot will kick the board backward
In a heelflip, it is often recommended to stick your front toes out. Since body structure varies from person to person, we won’t judge whether this method is good or bad here. However, what’s important is that sticking your toes out makes your body axis more likely to lean forward. As a result, the force your back foot applies to the board naturally points toward the heel side. The reaction pushes your center of gravity toward the toe side, causing you to land on the toe side of the board.

What to Do
Your body axis tilt already begins when you crouch
You need to keep your weight directly above the board throughout the entire process—approach, crouch
