The force needed to rotate the board is directed diagonally downward. Its height from the ground does not show the direction of this force.
To put it very simply, making the board rotate forward requires a force that pushes the nose downward. However, when you look at the actual movement, the front foot appears to keep rising until the flick is complete. This is because, as the front foot and the board rise together, the toes apply a downward force to the board while continuing to move upward relative to the ground.
