BS Pop Shove-it My board flips/I end up landing Primo

Mechanism & Solution

Mechanism / Why It Happens

The compressed truck generates rotational force on the board as it tries to return to its original state.

Even though you are not doing anything to the board with your front foot like in a kickflip, the board somehow flips, or you land in primo. In many cases, this happens because the trucks that were compressed when you pressed the tail down try to return to their original state, creating a flipping force on the board. What tends to make this worse is trying to lift your body using only your back foot. As your back foot keeps pressing the tail, the trucks also remain continuously compressed. Then, the moment your body starts to rise, that compression is released, and the board flips.

What to Do

Lift your body, release the truck compression, and then pop the tail.

If truck compression is what causes the flip, then the solution is to release that compression befor
