Not everyone has access to a vertical wall, but what you need for this trick is a mellow wall, or even a slope, that you can find anywhere. A snowboard is heavy, and trying to lift it solely by strength isn't very effective. However, by making use of a certain physical phenomenon, you can lift the board with much less effort. Let’s break down the trick step by step.
Approach
Ride up a slope on your toe-side edge and climb up as vertically as possible.
Planting the Front Hand
The place where you plant your hand is important. Imagine that you would come to a stop after moving straight forward. Your hand should be placed right next to the Nose at that point. As you begin to slow down, start lowering your hand right next to the Nose before you come to a complete stop.
Lifting The Board
After you place your hand, inertia continues to act on your body. Inertia is the tendency of an object to keep moving in the same direction. Since your body has been moving uphill along the slope, it will continue trying to move in that direction even after your hand touches down.
As is, your body would be crushed forward by that force. However, tipping your body forward flexes the board, generating a rebound force on the entire board. A snowboard is a big spring. When you bend it, it bounces back up. If you use this concept, you don’t have to raise your board only by force; bend it, and it launches itself upward. What you have to do is more like guiding the board so that it comes above your head.
As a result, the combination of the inertial force trying to carry your body forward, and the force of the board rebounding off the ground, together with the front hand acting as a pivot, causes the motion of this trick.
Trouble Shooting & Practice Method
Placing your hand close to the Nose is crucial to making this happen. If you place your hand too far away, the rebound force from the Nose will not be enough to lift the board to a sufficient height.
It is scary and hard to start by planting only one hand. At first, practice placing both hands on the ground and lifting the tail lightly.

You may still be scared to plant your hand, which is natural. But if your thumb points inward, your shoulder and elbow will bend, allowing you to fall safely. Injuries occur when the thumb is pointing forward. With that, the energy acting on your body has nowhere to dissipate, which can result in arm injuries.
Grab The Board to Add Some Style
At the peak of the trick, adding a grab makes it much more fun. You may instinctively arch your back, like in Method. However, it makes it hard to maintain a stable position. Instead, try to pull your knees closer to your chest. I personally find it more stable to grab it by the toe side edge.

Landing
Once you grab, all that remains is the landing. You can ride away Fakie, add a rotation, or try other variations. Experiment and see what works for you.
