Summary
How should the board be rotated forward?
There are two methods: either extending the foot forward or jumping upward while placing weight on the heel side. The latter is strongly recommended.
Rotating the board is not the only challenge—maintaining position above the board is equally important.
Because the board lands slightly behind the rider, your body also has to move in the same direction. When the weight is placed on the heel side, this backward movement occurs naturally, without deliberate effort, and helps maintain an ideal landing position.

Premises
Why does the board rotate forward?
When the nose is pressed downward, the front wheels turn sideways. At that moment, they can no longer roll forward and instead create friction against the ground. Meanwhile, the board’s center of gravity attempts to maintain its original direction of motion, causing the board to rotate naturally.

How do we achieve this rotation?
The question becomes: “How can we rotate the board when the legs cannot bend forward?” To accomplish this, instead of kicking out the front foot forward, put your weight on the heel side and jump straight up. Then the board naturally spins backside.

Summary
Approach and body axis
During the approach, ensure that your body axis remains upright at all times.

Bend down
Lower your body while subtly shifting your weight toward the heel side.
This slight offset between your center of gravity and that of the board increases as you pop, allowing the board to rotate more efficiently.

Pop
From this position, simply jump upward.
You do not need to focus on actively spinning the board. If your weight is correctly distributed toward the heel side, the rotation occurs naturally.

Back foot
It may appear as though the back foot is moving in the opposite direction. In reality, this motion is merely a by-product of the front foot moving forward, and not something performed intentionally. Therefore, there is no need to be overly concerned about it.
